8.31.2001Dragon Warrior Legend DemoRPGking has added a hugely updated demo to his original Dragon Warrior game. Go here to download it. The Dragon Warrior Legend website should be updated with more information soon. Apperantly there are some technical difficulties, so the download can be from slow to impossible to get. Luckily Lorik uploaded the file to another site so you can try to download it at here. Dragon Warrior Monsters for RPG Maker Gavin Brown is creating his own continuation of Dragon Warrior Monsters called Dragon Warrior Masters using RPG Maker 2000. Monsters will not be captured but some will join the heroes by choice. You can choose to play a girl or boy and each will have 4 different names to choose from. Dragon Quest Spell Encyclopedia Chrissy made a Dragon Quest Spell Encyclopedia with (almost?) every spell in it from Dragon Quest games with scanned illustrations found in the Dragon Quest guide books. Dragon Warrior IV for PlayStation (Updated) I got an email from Enix to let me know a remake for Dragon Warrior IV for the PlayStation will be released in the US sometime in next year. RPGamer added some Dragon Quest IV remake screen shots and art. 8.21.2001Dragon Quest Live Action MovieLeroy found a live action movie for Dragon Quest on an online auction. Go to this topic to see some pictures from it. Emblem of Roto Translation Chrissy has finished Chapter 4 of the Emblem of Roto manga series. Go to Chrissy's Dragon Quest Manga Translations to download it. If you have been keeping up with them and enjoy them make sure to let her know by emailing her or posting on my message board. Chrissy had to take down the old Chapter translations but eventually they will all be available for FTP download. Also, I've put the translations of Chapter 1 and 2 up for download. 8.19.2001Dragon Warrior Online for BYOND (Updated)Silk Wizard created a Dragon Warrior Online game that is already active. The sprites and music are directly taken from the game, and it has a general atmosphere of Dragon Warrior. It's still in its alpha stage and has different problems, but it's still pretty nice. The problems include lag, the need for other players, and a non-turn based battle system. In the beginning the game is nearly impossible unless you join other heroes (click on a hero sprite to join). If you don't you'll keep loosing half your gold, but you will at least gain levels from winning a battle here and there. During battles you'll have to remember to click on enemies to attack or cast spells. This strange feature combined with the lag and non-turn based battles can lead to instant death. Is the fourth comic evidence the Japanese think Christians are completely evil, or do they think this is normal? Or is it just me and it really is normal? And of course the hero accepts such a challenge since most monsters are so weak, and it's probably a necessary quest in order to continue the game. A universal way to take screen shots is to press the print screen button, then to paste the image into a program such as MS Paint. Focus found out both the Japanese and American version of the Dragon Warrior 3 remix for Game Boy Color has all the Dragon Warrior 4 monster medals programmed inside. The purpose of these medals is a mystery. It is likely the medals were part of an abandoned project. Maybe Enix was planning on making a game boy version of Dragon Warrior 4 that would be compatable to trade metals with the Dragon Warrior 3 remake. 8.7.2001Emblem of Roto Translation (updated)I've put both the translations of Chapter 1 and 2 of Emblem of Roto (a manga series) up for download.
