avatars, and I changed the number of posts needed for various titles on the Dragon-Warrior.com Message Board. I thought you needed 30 posts to be a slime but apperantly the range is 1-30 so I changed it to be more Dragon Warriorish (based on gaining levels). I'm still not certain if I'm right about how it all works so I might have to change it again.
2.19.2001Dragon FantasyEver wonder what it would be like to mash Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy together? That's what Dragon Slayer (AKA John Schmanski) is creating in his home-brewed game called Dragon Fantasy. Graphics, items, and magic will be from Dragon Warrior, but it will have chocobos, summons, moggless, and a battle system from Final Fantasy. Dragon Fantasy will be programmed using Verge 2. Dragon Slayer has just begun to make Dragon Fantasy, so he has mostly only been working on the tile sets. 2.18.2001Dragon Warrior 3DI got an email from Dr. Jones to let me know that he is making a Dragon Warrior Clone that will be in 3D. He just started so a lot of details will have to be worked out. Dragon Warrior 3D will probably be a remake of one of the other Dragon Warrior games, but he hasn't chosen which one. Email Dr. Jones to let him know which game you think he should remake.
New Message Board I decided to get a new Message Board. It has 4 categories: Advice, General, News, and Feedback. It is from Ikonboard.com, just like the Dragon Den's. Unlike my old board you have to sign up for it, but it is a lot better. Posts with new messages are brought to the top of the page to keep them active and There are 5 titles you can gain from posting enough messages.
Origins of Dragon Quest in Mythology to Modern Fantasy I wrote an ebook called Bestiary of Modern Fantasy explaining the historical origins of all the monsters in the first Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest game. The origins of both the Japanese and English names of the monsters are explained. The only monster not in the book is the Druin--I think Druins were completely made up by Enix or Nintendo. It is now for sale at FirstPrint.com.

2.14.2001Dragon Warrior LegendRPGking sent me an email to notify me of his progress of Dragon Warrior Legend. He is almost done with the NPC/townspeople sprites, finished the title screen, made the text box more like from Dragon Warrior, and now he is working on an intro with anime stills. Go to the Dragon Warrior Legend webpage for more information. Dragon Quest 6 Translation Noprgress' Dragon Quest 6 Translation webpage has grown a lot since I saw it last. It has screen shots, adventure logs, a patch, and known problems with the patch. The adventure logs seems to give away quite a bit of the story to Dragon Quest 6. 2.12.2001Dragon Quest Java Game by NlmuengNlmueng's Dragon Quest Java Game Webpage is back up. It's very simple and he might work on it more this spring break and get his own domain name.
2.11.2001WAV Sound Clips from Dragon Warrior 4I added a Dragon Warrior WAV Sound Clips webpage with 14 WAVs from Dragon Warrior 4. These can be useful if you would like sound effects for your computer or want to make your own Dragon Warrior game.
Fan Fiction Two fanfics: "Warriors of Paradisia" and "Return of the Dragonlord" were added to the Dragon's Den. 2.10.2001Anime-Style Fan ArtI added 5 anime-style characters from Dragon Warrior to the Dragon Warrior Pictures webpage. I made the Dragonlord and 4 heroes from Dragon Warrior 3. 
NES Dragon Warrior for Game Boy Color Matt Orlowski has started creating his clone of the original Dragon Warrior made to be played on the Game Boy Color. He has finished 99% of the tilework. He is currently working on a scrolling map engine. He still needs to work on the sounds, music, battle engine, menu system, items, and monsters. Orlowski's clone is about 6% complete.

2.8.2001Dragon Warrior LegendRPGking completed the magic system and figured out how to rip music from the ROMs for Dragon Warrior Legend. He's also starting to add events to the maps and has completed all but one major chapter of the story to the written version of Dragon Warrior Legend.
2.5.2001Game Data: Subtitles AddedYou know how Dragon Quest 7 has the subtitle Warriors of Eden? I just found out that about all the Dragon Quest games had a subtitle. I added the Dragon Quest subtitles to the Dragon Warrior Game Data page. 
Dragon Quest Monsters 2: True Release Date? After changing the release date at least twice, Enix changes it once again! Lucca's Journey will be released on March 9, 2001 (the date chosen last for both versions) and Ill's Adventure will be released on April 12, 2001. Is Enix trying to get free publicity at RPGamer or what? 2.4.2001Home-Brewed Dragon Warrior ClonesI made a list of all the Dragon Warrior clones made by fans I know about. There are at least 4 finished ones and about 19 total.
