6.26.2002Tile SetsI added a character sheet from the PlayStation version of Dragon Quest 4, and the monster sprites for Dragon Quest 1 for the SNES and Dragon Warrior 7. I also resaved the Dragon Warrior 3 map of Alefgard as a png to reduce it's size from almost 1000kb to less than 100kb. They should be back up in a day or so. Actually I can get there right now, but maybe you can't. Get it? Whoops. All of a sudden I've been getting less hits and I think I just found out why. I accidently loaded my comics index in my main area. That means if you took any links to my main page from my site you'd get a messed up webpage. I have two index pages since the regular one doesn't work anymore, so most people shouldn't have been bothered. I have made the main page different from this page to assure this problem doesn't happen again. The new host also doesn't allow you to go to directories without a main page. That means the directories full of images are no longer allowed and will bring you to forbidden pages. I'll look into fixing that. 6.23.2002Comics: Dragon Warrior 101I finished Issue 87: How to cast hurt. Time for some fun little boys and girls! Turn your sound up to hear the music. It's time for a new online Where's Waldo game! Hurray! 6.22.2002Comics: Dragon Warrior 101I finished Issue 86: Skeletons Are Smart. I have now converted all the Death of the Hero comics into ping files. Next I will work on Mind Over Matter (go to the comics section to read those comics). I recently saw a movie called Shaolin Soccer. It's a Kung Fu comedy where some ex-monks join a soccer team to help popularize Shaolin Kung Fu. They are so rediculous that one scene uses a Matrix-style kick that hits people like bowling bins, soccer balls burst into flames, and some people seem to fly. It was by one of the most famous directors from Hong Kong, Stephen Chow. You can read a review here. It will come to the US in 2003. I will put up some images of the movie for the next newsletter. Comics: Donated Red Kirby made 2 more mini comics: 01 and 02. 6.18.2002Comics: Dragon Warrior 101I finished Issue 85: All the Secrets... Now Available! This comic has a lot of references to Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons. Don't worry if you don't understand them, it's not important. I found out Bruno the Bandit had a nice adventure where people had to roll dice to fight. Comics: Donated Red Kirby made 2 comics: 01 and 02, and Crazy AJ donated 1 comic Torneko 3 A third Torneko game is coming out (as was mentioned in the news before). This time you will get some buddies to fight with you. 6.17.2002Comics: Dragon Warrior 101I finished Issue 84: Attack Spells Suck, the newest episode to the main series. This is the first comic in the main series that I used an animation. I made all the other comics in the main series into ping files for a smaller file size and faster download. I lost my good place at TopWebcomics.com. Not because my site was down, but because 8-bit came back and some sites banded together to get extra votes. Go here to vote for me! I also got $38.50 of donations! $38.50 still isn't enough to pay the bills for my site (see news below) but it will help a lot. Thanks a lot everyone. I might think of some goodies to give people for donating. I'll probably get some kind of membership similar to movie-comics.com. Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 Breeding Program Focus is creating a program to help you figure out breeding combinations. It is already functional. Go here to see! Dragon Warrior Online: Age of Heroes MotrinIB's Dragon Warrior game (formerly known as Black Moon Saga) is still making a lot of progress. Now the single-player combat system is fully operational and emotion bubbles were added. Emotion bubbles let characters communicate their emotions using explanation points, storm clouds, light bulbs, hearts, and other symbols. The emotion bubble will appear over a character for 5 seconds. You can see a screen shot of an explanation point emotion bubble in the screen shot section of the Age of Heroes website. 6.16.2002Site Back UpMy site is now hosted by www.lowesthosting.com. Sorry for having my site down for a couple days. I am now an affiliate of Lowest Hosting so if you use that link to join, then I will get $5. It's the best deal I've found. Less than $5 a month with as much file transfer and bandwidth as possible. 6.14.2002Bad News for MeHypermart.net (my host) charged me almost 150 dollars last month because I used too many GB of data transfer (15GB). I found another host that offered to charge WAY less at www.lowesthosting.com. I might have to take down my site for a day or two until I can get a new host. There's no way I can afford to pay over $100 of charges. It's all out of my wallet. Now would be a good time to donate. Due to recent events I decided to continue the whole revive the hero marketing genius conspiracy and turn it into a mini-series. There will be at least one more comic in the series. Have any good comic ideas? Me neither! I do have a lot of main ideas for certain comics, but I am pretty much just making stuff up from the top of my head right now.
