Introduction
I finally got around to continuing the main Dragon Warrior series comics, but I think I should only make 2 per week for a while to assure some half-decent quality.

I also made a couple other interesting updates including a comic that tells you how to make comics, and the news on my main page has links to the most interesting Dragon Warrior news of the past.

The new Dragon Quest 7 site has a secret section that the Dragon Warrior 7 print ad should 'hint at'. Let me know if you have that ad.

Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 has been released. You can buy both Dragon Warrior Monsters 2: Cobi's Journey and Tara's Adventure at amazon.com.

Tile Sets
I created an NES Dragon Warrior tile set and character set. The images were donated by Silk Wizard (Creator of Dragon Warrior Online).

Making a Dragon Warrior Clone?

Remember how right before a battle in Dragon Warrior games, how there is a spinny animation? I'm not sure how hard it would be to program the actual attack spinny thing into the game, but it might be easier using this animation. It's basically just a black square that spins as it gets bigger. And it was originally pretty fast.

Dragon Warrior Online Propaganda
I finished a new comic: In Dragon Warrior Online... Some People are Real! Dragon Quest 3 Translation
I got this email about the translation of the Dragon Quest 3 remake for the Super Famicom:

Well, the moment that all the emulation community has waited so long for has finally arrived...the Dragon Quest 3 - Remix scripts have been completely translated into English! Here at Illuminus, there was a collective shout for our success once the final line was entered; understandably so, we are very extremely proud of this accomplishment! Though we have a complete set of translated scripts, our work is not yet finished. As of today, we have gone forward with a second layer of revision, of which will serve as the basis for finalized text that will be inserted into our date-yet-to-be-determined release. At any rate, we are all working very hard toward releasing a quality product that you will all enjoy!

Dragon Warrior Legend Propaganda
I finished a new comic: How To Save In Dragon Warrior Legend! This comic REALLY WAS created to explain to everyone how to save in Dragon Warrior Legend -- A completely free Dragon Warrior game being made by RPGking! After my friend Mykul couldn't figure out how to save in Dragon Warrior 4, then another friend couldn't figure out how to save in Dragon Warrior Legend, I thought I might as well make sure everyone knows how to save.

Dragon Warrior Web Radio Show
A new show will be on this Saturday at 9:00 PM Eastern, 8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, and 6:00 PM Pacific. It will have some news discussion, and it might become a weekly show at the same time every week. For more information go to the Alefgard Radio Website. Emblem of Roto Translation
Chrissy has finished Chapter 6 of the Emblem of Roto manga series. Go to Chrissy's Dragon Quest Manga Translations to download it. If you have been keeping up with them and enjoy them make sure to let her know by emailing her or posting on my message board.

Chrissy had to take down the old Chapter translations but eventually they will all be available for FTP download. Also, I've put the translations of Chapter 1 and 2 up for download.

Dragon Warrior Online for BYOND
This web-based fan-made game has been updated again. The party system is still disabled, but when fixed should allow up to 4 people in each party.

If you haven't played yet make sure to see the game guide to know all the details about how to play. Most notably you must right click characters to join or attack, and you have to click on items you want to use or equip. You will need the BYOND program from BYOND.com to play.

Dragon Warrior Legend
Due to technical difficulties, the site for this playable Dragon Warrior fan game has been moved. The Dragon Warrior Legend site is now at The http://dwl.sourceforge.net/.

Last week RPGking has added a hugely updated demo to for Dragon Warrior Legend. The new demo has rain, an improved damage system, animated monsters, and should last you over 30 hours to complete. The Dragon Warrior Legend website should be updated with more information soon.

Torneco No Daibouken Translation
The translation to Torneko No Daibouken for the Super Famicom by Magic Destiny is 98% complete. Only a few final touches will be made. The US release of Torneko the Last Hope for the PlayStation is the sequel to this game.

Pendy has immidiately made his presence at the Dragon Quest & Dragon Warrior News Network quite clear with several mighty news updates including a couple regarding anime and game translations.

Now that Pendy is perminantly back at the Dragon Quest & Dragon Warrior News Network I'll be sure to call the site by it's full title (unlike some people). Yeah, it's easy calling it the DQ News Network, but it's not just for Dragon Quest anymore.

You guys have it easy these days. Three Dragon Warrior games out every year, actual playable fan game demoes, and 90% completed translations. Back when I was a boy we didn't have Dragon Warrior or the internet. We had to go to Japan to buy the newest Dragon Quest games and sergically alter our Super Nintendoes to allow us to play Super Famicom games on them. And since we couldn't download the ROMs and create translations, we had to learn Japanese. That's just the way it was and we liked it. We loved it!

Dragon Warrior Online for BYOND
Dragon Warrior Online, a web-based fan-made game, has finally been updated and has a website with a game guide that lets you know all the details about how to play. Most notably you must right click characters to join or attack, and you have to click on items you want to use or equip. Unfortunately parties have been temperarely disabled and they might be essential to survival.

To play Dragon Warrior Online you must go to BYOND.com to download the BYOND program. Then run Dream Seeker and go to the hub to select to play Dragon Warrior Online.

There might be another major update to Dragon Warrior Online in as soon as a day. The new version has fixed several bugs and has the following updates:

Changed the real time battle system to a turn based one
Gave players the ability to sell items to shopkeepers
Changed the damage formulas to one that more accurately reflects the real Dragon Warrior games
Changed the names and icons of certain weapons and armor
Changed the music in several areas, added a few more sound effects
Updated all current save files to version 1.10
