Rules
Can you make a good Dragon Warrior comic? Whoever submits the best comic wins a prize!
Comics for the contest will be accepted between July 2nd and July 16th, 2002. The winner will be
chosen by me with the help of polls and will be announced July 23rd. All comics are considered
donated. All contestants will receive a free
membership to Dragon-Warrior.com
for one week and I
will post a link to their comics website (if PG-13).
Only one comic can be donated for the
contest per contestant. More high-quality comics can be donated for additional weeks of
membership, but they will not be counted in the contest. Comics donated must use these guidelines:
- Comics must be about Dragon Warrior to some extent.
- They must show satisfactory effort by the author.
- They must be PG
- They must be saved as a gif, jpg, png, or swf. Save it as a JPG if you are sure it's smaller than the alternatives.
- They must be under 300kb
Prizes
The winner will receive either a lifetime membership to Dragon-Warrior.com or one month of
banner advertising. I will only give banner advertising if I feel the site chosen is suitable.

FAQ
- Where are Dragon Warrior game sprites? You don't have to be a good artist to enter the
contest. You can find Dragon Warrior game sprites here.
- Do the comics have to be made with game sprites? To tell the truth I think it's best not to use Game Sprites! I just use game sprites because I'm lazy.
- What is satisfactory effort? I need evidence you took time to make the comic. For example, the comics need good grammar and spelling, dialogue bubbles need to flow the conversation in the right order, and scribbles certainly won't count.
- Do I need a website to enter the contest? No. Anyone can join.
- How do you make comics? If you want to see how I make comics go here
- Should I save my sprite comic as a jpg? JPG's are about the worst image file type. They are made for images with millions of colors. If the sprite comic uses scanned images, then it might be a good idea. Otherwise it's probably a very bad idea. Also note that saving an image as a jpg then as a gif is also a very bad idea.
- What is a member? Members are people who have access to a special section of my site with fun goodness. Go here for more information.
