Spamming - Posting anything that is unrelated to the Forum category or topic. The following are examples of spam in the Dragon Warrior section: He-Man, Pokemon, Tella Tubbies, Sailor Moon, sex, pornography, politics, and sociology. Advertising and posting short messages just to get more posts are always considered spam. Flaming - Saying mean stuff to someone. Flaming isn't an argument. Arguing is a course of reasoning aimed at demonstrating truth, not simply giving an opinion. Imping - Using several user names or stealing someone else's name. Trolling - Trying to piss people off and harassment. The most common kind of trolling is advertising in order for cyber sex, phone sex, dating, or sex. An example of trolling is saying, "Dragon Warrior sucks!" Policing - Telling people what they can or cannot do. That's my job! =P (Moderators can do Policing, they are your Kings.) Spoilers - Giving away parts of a story of a game, novel, movie, etc. that are important to the plot and should be learned by experience. If you have a spoiler say *spoiler* in the post title. No Text Posts - Do not write short posts with a title (or even no title) and no message even if you put *nt*, (nt), *nt, -nt-, or -nt in the title. Me Too Posts - Do not reply to a message using a one phrase reply with something meaningless such as me too, i agree, etc. Do not use my message board as a chat room, and do not post unless you have something to contribute! Images or material over 15kb - You can post new topics with larger images, but put a warning on it *image* or *pic* in the title. If a topic already has a large image try to restrain yourself from posting replies containing images. This also applies to animated or several emoticons. Some of the animations are over a hundred kb and could make a message really slow! If you don't have the energy to check the size of an emoticon than don't post more than one emoticon per topic page. Obscenity - sexual, repulsive, or offensive material that lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value. Pornography - Anything more arousing to a male or female than pictures of girls in Sailor Moon outfits. Obviously no nudity, exposed oiled female breasts, or material of sexual activity. Sexual activity - It is not as defined as Clinton. It is anything that typically deals with arousal greater than winking, kissing, or hugging. Piracy - Discussion or links to illigal copyrighted material such as most ROMs, MP3s, and Napster wannabes. Illigal activities - Any material that is illigal such as piracy, selling cocane, slavery, child pornography, or sexual harrassment. Moderators - Moderators have the power to edit, delete, and move posts. I encourage them to do this when necessary when any of these rules are broken in an annoying way. Double posts, advertisements, pornography, and links to ROM sites will always be deleted and moderators who delete them are cool. I also encourage moderators to move topics to the appropriate forum category. (Topics in the wrong category are SPAM). If a moderator notices someone is breaking the rules continuously then the person should be warned and told to look over the rules. If the person continues to break the rules I will ban them, or find a suitable punishment. |
